Ricky Wells comes from a family of avid readers. From the time he was young, he found himself reading far beyond what was typical of his age and was reading authors such as Stephen King and Dean Koontz as early as elementary school. His father read extensively as well and once complained about a shortage of new books that he could read, so Ricky believed it was his responsibility to fix that problem. He found an old typewriter and wrote a story he thought his father would enjoy. He was in third grade. From that time on, his love of the written word expanded into a desire to be the one to write some of those words. Ricky’s writing delves into multiple genres and often blurs the line between them. He most often writes in the categories of horror, science fiction and fantasy.

Ricky lives in Hurst, TX with his wife, Kimberly and their five children.
